Acupuncture
Online Research:
Acupuncture is
the stimulation of specific acupuncture points along the skin of the body involving
various methods like penetrating the skin with thin needles or the application
of heat, pressure, or laser light. Acupuncture works in many ways but is mostly
used as pain relief.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Acupuncturists
take into account a patients physical, mental and emotional condition in order
to determine the right treatment for the patient. Acupuncturists also help their
patients achieve balance and wellness in their lives.
Salary:
An Acupuncturist
salary ranges up to $75,000 to $80,000 a year.
Education:
Acupuncturists have a masters
or a post- baccalaureate from schools by the Accreditation Commission for
Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Most of these programs require 1,500 to
2,000 hours of acupuncture training. (This is 3 to 4 years.)
I would not
like to be an Acupuncturists because putting needles into people seems interesting but it takes 3 to 4 years and that is to long.
